In 2015 the Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce hosted more than 100 events that promoted, connected, enriched and advocated for the Brookings area business community. These events hosted thousands of business men and women who interacted together to learn more about our communities and the overall business climate. The success for the Chamber is seeing these interactions take place and hoping that relationships are being built that will enhance the business culture.
For example, our monthly Chamber Mixers are hosted at various businesses throughout the area and average about 70 people to each event. These are opportunities for Chamber members to be introduced to other Chamber members throughout the Brookings area in a casual environment. Our programs are short and there is always a cash drawing giveaway for those lucky enough to be present to win. These events are open to all business members no matter if your business has four employees or 1,700 employees. If you work for a Chamber member, we want you at our Mixers and other Chamber events.
The more we understand our community’s business culture the stronger we will grow. Events like Chamber Mixers add to the growth of knowledge and understanding that generates collaboration and business cross selling. Businesses in the Brookings area take pride in their culture, especially in their employees. By encouraging your employees to take part in Chamber events, you are directly adding value to an already powerful business culture.
